Continue to spearhead the fight against phobic hate alongside Avon and Somerset Police and other community partners through working groups, maintaining Safe spaces and encouraging the reporting of all forms of hate crime.

Education and Awareness
Working alongside businesses and educational organization to promote good practices that protect existing LGBTQ+ rights and create safe environments free from fear of bullying, discrimination or violence.

Prevent Isolation
By continuing to work closely with organizations and partners to open new spaces of engagement for all members of the LGBTQ community to enjoy, to feel safe and find comfort in the company of like minded friends.
UK Pride in Weston-Super-Mare 2021

UK Pride 2021 in Weston-Super-Mare will be a pride event for all LGBTQ+ community and thanks to the full backing of Visit Weston and North Somerset Council, WSM Pride 2021 will showcase the very best Pride experience, talent and hospitality the Southwest unequally has to offer.
Where and Why
Location at the heart of Weston Seafront, our new Beach Lawns venue will accommodate an easy accessible, safe and secure venue capable of accommodating over 30,000 guests.
Entertainment to satisfy many differing tastes will be
scattered around the site with an emphasis on “festival” feel and will be vastly comprised of the Southwest’s home grown talent,
a children’s zone with a petting zoo, dedicated education and support zones that represent each element of the LGBTQ community
and a central unity area and main stage.
In the build up to Pride 2021, we aim to take every opportunity to boost the profile of the event:
We will utilise the expertise of an even management company to seek guidelines on Health and Safety and invite the UKPON board members to support the planning process.
